RF

Flipper CC1101 Module

An external sub-GHz radio module wired onto the Flipper Zero's GPIO header to extend its range beyond the stock internal antenna.

Chip
Texas Instruments CC1101
Band
300 - 928 MHz
Interface
7-pin SPI over GPIO
Assembly
Soldered, not dupont-wired

The reference project this follows connects the module with seven male-to-female dupont wires. Those work, but they are bulky and they back out of the header. The board, antenna lead and harness here are soldered instead, sized to seat flush against the GPIO pins.

The harness carries SPI plus power: MOSI, MISO, chip select, clock and a general digital output, with 3.3V and ground. Getting it wrong in either direction is a dead module, so the wiring was checked against the pinout before power.

This is the only physical RF build documented so far - soldering, sub-GHz hardware and mechanical fit rather than firmware. Bench-measuring what the extension actually does to range is still outstanding.
